Social Media Management

As their Communications Consultant, I run the Facebook page of a local non-profit that provides various services to the elderly and disabled so they are able to keep their pets.

Volunteers are women between the ages of 45 and 60 and most of the clientele are very elderly individuals. My marketing strategy consists of targeting children and grandchildren of clients that may need our services–primarily men and women between the ages of 30 and 60–in the town and the surrounding area. I do this through boosting posts on the Facebook page specified at the target audience as well as through facilitating the organization’s efforts to connect with local news agencies and events. I keep track of the success of Facebook efforts by consulting the analytics provided by the page’s Insights.

Though I have only been working with the organization’s leadership for a few weeks, I have helped them transition to a business page and increased their Facebook audience by 50% and post engagements by 100%.

Future plans for the organization include the development of a website–to include volunteer scheduling, a client database and volunteer profiles–as well as an Instagram and Twitter account.
